What is URLQuery?
URLQuery is a URL and website analysis service for security research. It opens URLs in an isolated browser environment and records evidence that helps you understand what loaded, redirected, downloaded, or executed. See About URLQuery for more detail.
How do I submit a URL?
Use the Submit URL form on the home page for a scan with default settings. Anonymous submissions produce public reports. For configurable visibility and browser options, sign in with an existing account and open Submit. The queue page shows progress and links to the completed report. Submission requires the analysis service to be available.
Is URLQuery free to use?
Public report browsing and search are available without signing in. Additional capabilities and usage limits depend on your account permissions. Contact contact@urlquery.net about account access or commercial use.
Can URLQuery detect phishing and malware?
URLQuery uses multiple detection systems to highlight phishing, malware delivery, and other suspicious activity. Review the screenshot, network traffic, scripts, artifacts, and supporting alerts together. False positives and missed detections are possible.
Does a report with no alerts mean the URL is safe?
No. A report reflects observations from one scan, at a particular time and with particular browser and network settings. Websites may change, require interaction, or serve different content based on location or visitor characteristics. Scan completion and HTTP success describe execution, not safety. Missing evidence means it was not captured or is unavailable.
What should I do if a URL looks malicious?
Avoid opening the URL or running downloaded files on your usual device. Share the report and supporting indicators with your security team or relevant service provider. You can send suspected phishing URLs and campaign indicators to phishing@urlquery.net.
Who can see my report?
Public reports can be viewed by anyone. Restricted and private visibility depend on account permissions, the submitter, and team access. Check the visibility option before submitting; signing in does not automatically make a report private. See the Privacy Policy.
Can I submit a URL containing private information?
Do not submit private, confidential, or personally identifiable data. URLs can contain access tokens, password-reset links, email addresses, or document identifiers, and the resulting page evidence may expose additional information. Report visibility settings do not replace this obligation.
How do I find related reports?
Use report search or host search to investigate related activity. The Search help page explains supported filters and provides examples.
How do I request a correction, redaction, or removal?
Email abuse@urlquery.net with the report link or ID, the reason for your request, and the action you would like considered. See Contact for guidance. A malicious finding alone is not a reason to remove a report; classification errors and privacy concerns can be reviewed.
How long are results available?
Analysis data is retained for a limited time and may expire or become unavailable. URLQuery is not a permanent archive. No fixed retention duration is specified on this page; contact us if your investigation depends on continued access to a report.
